Paid media channels

The Paid Media report shows how your product content performs in paid channels: impressions, sessions, click-through rate, conversion rate, and revenue, with a trend view for impressions, clicks, revenue, and spend over time.

Supported channels

Google Ads is supported today, with more channels coming soon.

Paid media reporting is available to all customers to onboard — connecting your Google Ads account is part of Analytics onboarding.

What the report shows

At the top, the paid summary for your selected date range: impressions, sessions, CTR, conversion rate, and revenue, each compared against your comparison period. The Paid Trend chart tracks impressions, clicks, revenue, or spend over time.

Below that, Paid Channels breaks performance down to the product level. Each row is a product, with its SKU, custom labels, impressions, clicks, CTR, conversion rate, cost, revenue, and ROAS — so you can see not just how campaigns perform, but which products earn their spend.

Filters

The Paid Channels table filters by:

  • Product — search for specific products.
  • Campaign and ad group — narrow to the campaigns you’re analyzing.
  • Custom labels — filter by up to five custom labels at once.
Custom labels are the segmentation tool

Custom labels set in Google Merchant Center flow through to this report, which is what makes before/after and cohort comparisons readable — including A/B tests of enriched content. Label your product groups deliberately and the report does the segmentation for you.

Reading the numbers

CTR and impressions respond fastest to content changes — they reflect how Google matches and presents your products. Conversion rate, cost metrics, and ROAS are also shaped by price, availability, and landing-page experience, so treat them as a broader read on the product, not on content alone.
