AEO report

The AEO (AI Engine Optimization) report shows how AI platforms interact with your site: which engines are reading your pages, how often, and which URLs they reference. ChatGPT and Perplexity don’t send you reports — this is where that activity becomes visible.

It’s the reading half of a pair. The AEO report shows AI platforms consuming your content; the Traffic report’s AI/LLM channel shows their users arriving at your store afterward.

What it tracks

Four summary metrics head the report, each shown against your comparison period:

  • Total LLM requests — how many times AI platforms requested content from your site.
  • URL loads — page fetches by AI platforms.
  • Image loads — image fetches by AI platforms.
  • Bot crawls — visits from AI platforms’ crawlers indexing your content.

Activity is broken down by AI platform throughout — for example ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and Claude.

Activity over time

LLM Request Trend charts daily requests, segmented by AI channel, so you can see both overall volume and which platforms drive it — and whether a content change was followed by a change in AI attention.

LLM Channel Share shows how requests distribute across platforms for the selected period. Platforms rarely pay equal attention; this is where you learn which ones actually read your catalog.

LLM channel performance

The per-platform table shows, for each AI channel: the bot name it identifies itself with (for example Claude-User or Perplexity-User), URL loads, image loads, total requests, bot crawls, pages indexed, and the change against your comparison period.

Pages indexed is the one to watch over time: it tells you how much of your site each platform has actually taken in, which is the precondition for your products appearing in its answers.

URL performance by LLM

The URL table lists every page AI platforms have referenced, with per-platform counts and a total — sortable, so your most-referenced pages surface first.

This is the report’s most actionable view:

  • Check your key product pages appear. If the products you care about aren’t being read, AI engines can’t cite them — that’s a signal to strengthen those pages’ AEO content.
  • See what AI engines choose to read. The pages platforms reference most aren’t always the ones you’d predict, and that’s useful input for where to spend enrichment effort.

Reading AEO activity honestly

Treat everything in this report as a visibility signal: evidence that AI platforms are reading and referencing your pages, which is the precondition for showing up in their answers. It is not attributed revenue — for the connection to actual visits and orders, follow the AI/LLM channel in the Traffic report, and for the fuller measurement method see Proving enrichment works.
